Immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of history as we guide you through the captivating epochs of Alta and Gargia. Our cherished mountain lodge, a witness to over 150 years of momentous events, holds an integral place in the local culture.

Ascend the staircase to our exquisite Gallery, where a treasure trove of artifacts and memorabilia awaits. Our knowledgeable guides will accompany you on a curated tour, illuminating the captivating tales hidden within these walls.

But the journey doesn't end there. Indulge your taste buds in the culinary delights that await you. Experience the true essence of our heritage as we prepare delectable homemade waffles, accompanied by a variety of luscious berry jams and the classic brown cheese that embodies tradition.

The Tour

We start the trip from the cruise harbour, with possible pickup at canyon hotell in the city center.

On our 30 min drive up to our historical Gargia Lodge, you can enjoy wildlife and the arctic nature from the car. Here you will learn about Altas rich history and while we start to reach the mountain lodge we will be ready to learn more about the lodges 150 years history. Within this tranquil haven, allow yourself to be transported through the corridors of time.

In the Lodge our guide will take you on a journey trough time with our Gallery in the second floor, you will learn about our arctic traditions and taste a real Norwegian treat. Outside the lodge our lavvo will be set up with reindeer skins and a warming fire, breath in and enjoy the arctic silence.

After this adventure you will be transported back to the cruise harbour, and possible to stop in the city center.
