‍ Embark on a captivating winter journey through the snow-covered forests of Alta, where the allure of outdoor life in Finnmark beckons. As you step onto the trail leading to the frozen wonder of Orvvosfossen waterfall, prepare to be enchanted by the unique natural marvels that encompass you. The path winds through a serene winter landscape, with snow-covered trees offering glimpses of the untouched beauty within this snowy realm. Following this trail for approximately 2 km, you'll find yourself standing before the majestic frozen Orvvosfossen waterfall. Its crystalline cascade is a mesmerizing spectacle, where water has turned to ice, harmonizing with the tranquil winter surroundings. So, fasten your snowshoes, inhale the crisp winter air, and let the captivating wilderness of Alta guide your path as you delve into this frozen wonder. Your adventure begins with a 30-minute drive to our historical Gargia Lodge. From the lodge, we'll set off into the Gargia forest. Along the 2 km trail, breathe in the invigorating winter air and perhaps catch glimpses of wildlife. After about 1.5 hours, we'll arrive at the frozen waterfall—a magnificent sight where water has transformed into an exquisite frozen sculpture. On the riverbank, take a short break and savor coffee, tea, and snacks. The tour is 2km each way and it take about 1,5 hours to reach the waterfall. ‍ ‍
