RIB Expedition to Seiland National Park

About this adventure

Precipitous mountainsides plunging into the sea, secluded flower meadows, and Europe’s most northerly glaciers glimmering above the island are just some of the things waiting for you in Seiland. Enjoy an easy and beautiful day trip to the south side of the island and get a taste of its unique nature.

Seiland is a unique and beautiful part of Western Finnmark’s island nature, with small and large fjords surrounded by steep mountains that plunge into the sea. Seiland’s two glaciers are the northernmost in Scandinavia. The steep coastal mountains are a breeding ground for a rich population of birds of prey. The ultrabasic bedrock in the south gives rise to a particularly lush plant life. We will also have the opportunity to experience wildlife, such as seals and sea eagles up close.

On this trip we take you on an exciting RIB boat ride across the Altafjord, past picturesque mountains towards the far end of the fjord. We will ride past Seilands lush green mountains and go ashore in Bekkarfjord, Seilands most beautiful fjord.

The tour

Join us for an extraordinary adventure at the cruise harbour. Ensure your timely arrival 5-10 minutes prior to the Tour's commencement.

On this trip we take you on an exciting RIB boat ride across the Altafjord, past picturesque mountains towards the far end of the fjord. We will ride past Seilands lush green mountains and go ashore in Bekkarfjord, Seilands most beautiful fjord. The voyage to Seiland is an experience in itself, a scenic passage through time that takes approximately 1 hour.

Practical information

Changes to the trip due to weather conditions may occur.

Wear warm clothes and shoes in accordance with the weather forecast and season.

Bring your own shoes and clothes for the walk on Seiland.

This trip is not recommended for those who have back problems or for those who are pregnant. Children up to 12 years.

Passengers must be at least 120cm tall to be able to join this trip.

For this activity we need at least 6 participants.
